Navarre Beach, Florida is an unincorporated community in Santa Rosa County on Santa Rosa Island, which is a barrier island. Navarre Beach is considered part of the Pensacola–Ferry Pass–Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area, and so is not entirely cut off from the active metro world. To its east is Navarre Beach County Park, to its west is Gulf Islands National Seashore; further west is Pensacola Beach; north is the community of Navarre. With humid subtropical weather, mild winters and rather hot summers, Navarre Beach is the right place to stay on the beach.
EMPLOYMENT — Most jobs in the area involve the real estate industry or service industry, but a wider range of jobs can be found in nearby areas. Many residents work from their homes online.
LIFESTYLES — Life tends to be pleasant and laid-back in Navarre Beach. The skyline at night is quite beautiful. Fun is just a short drive away. This is a place to get away from it all — until you’re ready to drive back over the Navarre Beach Causeway for some action!
REAL ESTATE — Prices along this strip of beach are a median of $197,000, more expensive than most neighborhoods in Florida or the US. The average rental price is under $1,000, which is reasonable considering the desirable area. Vacancies are a fact of life in the area due to seasonal residents, so finding a place to rent is not difficult.
INTERESTING FACT — The 1978 film Jaws 2 was filmed at Navarre Beach.
