The public school district is good, and the relatively high college-educated percentage of the population gives Navarre an education-friendly outlook. Schools include Holley-Navarre Primary, Intermediate, and Middle School; Navarre High School; West Navarre Intermediate School; West Navarre Primary School. The education level of Navarre residents is higher than the typical US residential area, and the crime rate is lower than the US average.

REAL ESTATE — Employment is strong, and over 29% of adults in Navarre have at least a bachelor’s degree. Navarre has a high number of owner-occupied single family homes, which indicates a stable community. The real estate prices range from a high $210,000 in areas near the water to more affordable homes with a median price of $163,000 further from the water. Neighborhoods include the Australian Road / Masters Blvd area, Route 87 / Segura St. section, Town Center, and the Holly area.

INTERESTING FACT — Guy Wyman, a colonel in the US Army, was the founder of Navarre. After World War I, Wyman brought his French fiancé, Noel, back to the United States. Since he couldn’t legally marry her in the USA, he adopted Noel, who named this section Navarre after a province near France in Spain that she loved.
